 Onions3/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Garlic salt1 Teaspoon
 2 1-lb. cans tomatoes
 2 6-oz. cans tomato paste
 Sugar1 Tablespoon
 Salt11/2 Teaspoon
 Pepper1/2 Teaspoon
 Bay leaf1
 Oregano11/2 Teaspoon, crushed
 Meatballs
 Spaghetti1 Pound, cooked

Directions

Cook onions with garlic salt in hot fat in skillet until tender, but not brown.
Combine 1 cup water, tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, salt, pepper, bay leaf and oregano; add to onions.
Simmer for 45 minutes; remove bay leaf.
Drop meatballs into simmering sauce; cook for 15 minutes.
Serve sauce and meatballs over spaghetti.
