Italian Turkey Burgers Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 (1 1/2-ounce) sesame hamburger buns, split | ||
| Olive oil-flavored cooking spray | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), halved | |
| Ground turkey | 1 pound | |
| Tomato basil pasta sauce | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), finley chopped | |
| 1/4 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs | ||
| Parmesan cheese | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
| Parsley | 1 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| 2 (1-ounce) presliced part-skim mozzarella cheese slices, cut in half | ||
Directions
Lightly coat cut sides of buns with cooking spray.
Place buns, cut sides up, on a broiler pan.
Broil 2 minutes or until lightly toasted.
Rub garlic evenly over cut sides of buns.
Discard garlic; set buns aside.
Combine turkey and next 5 ingredients in a bowl; stir well.
Shape mixture into 4 (1/2-inch-thick) patties.
Place on broiler pan; broil 7 minutes on each side or until done.
Place patties on bottom halves of buns; top each with 1/2 cheese slice, and broil 1 minute or until cheese melts.
Cover with tops of buns.
