Ingredients
6 pork loin chops, cut 3/4 to 1 inch thick
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 envelope Italian salad dressing mix
1/2 cup dry red wine
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons cold water
4 teaspoons cornstarch
Hot cooked spaghetti or noodles
Directions
In large skillet slowly brown the chops in hot oil.
Add Italian salad dressing mix, wine, and the 1/2 cup water.
Cover and simmer till chops are tender, 30 to 40 minutes.
Remove the chops to serving platter; keep warm.
Measure pan juices; add water if necessary to equal 1 1/4 cups.
Blend the 2 tablespoons cold water slowly into cornstarch.
Stir into pan juices.
Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Add Italian salad dressing mix, wine, and the 1/2 cup water.
Cover and simmer till chops are tender, 30 to 40 minutes.
