Recipe Story

This recipe has been passed down by the women on my father's side for generations and when it was passed onto me, I couldn't be more thrilled! I has seen my grandmother make this many times before and now that I had it...I decided that I'd alter it just a tad( with grandma Cookie's permission of course) and lo and behold...it was perfection! Grandma even liked it. I hope you do too!

Ingredients

 1 lb. sweet Italian sausage
 Ground beef1 Pound
 Garlic2 Clove (5gm), finely chopped
 1/2 a yellow onion, diced
 Italian seasoning2 Tablespoon
 2 eggs, slightly beaten
 Bread crumbs2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Corn meal1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Ground pepper1/4 Teaspoon
 Fennel2 Tablespoon
 Dash of cinnamon
 Milk1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Olive oil1 Tablespoon

Directions

Crumble sausage and combine with beef. After chopping up onion and garlic, add to the meat mixture. Blend the seasonings, cinnamon, salt, and pepper along with the corn meal, bread crumbs, and eggs into the meat. Pour milk over the mixture and combine thoroughly.
