Italian Pizza Recipe
What about a romantic night at home with homemade Italian Pizza! Trust me cooking together will only add to the fun of the evening. At the end you can relax with your delicious Italian Pizza ... and delicious it will be!!..Without a doubt!
Ingredients
A
1/2 c. lukewarm water
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 envelope active dry yeast
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sifted all purpose flour
1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour
B
1/3 c. tomato paste
1/3 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 T. oil
1/2 tsp. crushed oregano
F.g. pepper
Few drops Tabasco Sauce
1/4 lb. Muenster or Mozzarella
1/4 lb. sausage, ground beef or salami
1 T. grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 c. sliced mushrooms
Directions
1. Measure into a bowl the lukewarm water and stir in sugar.
2. Sprinkle with yeast, and let stand 10 minutes. Then stir well.
3. Stir in 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 T. oil and 3/4 c. flour. Beat until smooth.
4. Stir in an additional 1/2 c. flour.
5. Turn out dough on board floured with 2 T. flour. Work in flour and knead until smooth and elastic. Form dough into a ball.
6. Knead lightly on floured board and roll out into a circle about 18 inches __in diameter. Place on greased cookie sheet and turn edges up slightly
7. Mix together B ingredients in a small bowl, and spread half of it over dough circle.
8. Spread sausage, mushrooms and Mozzarella cheese over this.
9. Finish with remainder of B mixture and Parmesan cheese.
10. Bake, cut in pie shapes and serve hot.
11. Variation: All of B mixture may be spread on dough, then sausage and mushrooms, and this topped with the Mozzarella and the Parmesan cheese.
