Italian Meat Patties Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 pound top round | ||
| White bread slice | 1 , trimmed | |
| Skim milk | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 teaspoons finely grated lemon rind | ||
| Parsley | 2 Teaspoon, minced | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground black pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Egg white | 1 | |
| Flour | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 2 tablespoons special oil | ||
Directions
Be sure all the fat is trimmed from the meat, then have it ground or do it yourself.
Soak the bread in the milk, drain and mash smooth.
Mix together the meat, bread, lemon rind, parsley, salt, pepper and egg white.
Sprinkle the flour onto a board and form round cakes 1/2 inch thick and 1 inch in diameter.
Heat the oil in a skillet and brown the cakes in it 2 minutes on each side.
