Ingredients

 
1/2 lb. ground meat
 
1 egg, well beaten
 
1/2 onion, chopped
 
1 clove garlic, chopped parsley (few snips)
 
1/4 cup bread crumbs
 
1/4 tsp. salt
 
Black pepper to taste
 
2 Tbsp. water
 
1 Tbsp. olive oil
 
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
 
1 1/2 cup water
 
1/2 onion, chopped
 
1 tsp. sugar
 
Pinch of soda

Directions

Mix together first 9 ingredients and make into small balls.
Brown in fat.
Set aside.
In saucepan, mix together oil, tomato paste, water, onion and sugar.
When sauce has come to a boil, add pinch of soda.
Add browned meat balls.
Simmer one hour.
