Italian Bread With Olive Oil And Herbs Recipe
Ingredients
| Extra virgin olive oil | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 teaspoon mixed dried herbs, oregano, marjoram, and thyme | ||
| Salt | 1 Pinch | |
| Italian bread loaf | 1 | |
Directions
Preheat oven to Broil.
Whisk olive oil, herbs, and salt in bowl until thoroughly blended.
Slice bread in half lengthwise, and drizzle olive-oil mixture over both cut surfaces.
(If loaf is exceptionally large, you may need to increase quantities of oil and herbs.) Place bread on baking sheet; broil, cut-sides up, for 1 to 2 minutes or until surface of bread is lightly browned.
Serve warm.
Sprinkle with cheese if desired.
