Israeli Rice Recipe
Ingredients
| Onion | 1 , finely chopped | |
| Salt | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Olive oil | 4 Tablespoon | |
| 1 t.curry powder | ||
| Rice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 cups hot beef broth | ||
| Pine nuts | 4 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Saute onion in 2 T. of oil in a saucepan until tender, but not browned.
Add curry, salt, rice and broth.
Cover, bring to boil and then simmer gently for 20 minutes, or until rice is tender.
Saute pine nuts in remaining olive oil until lightly browned.
Add them to rice and serve.
