Island Charlotte Recipe
Island Charlotte is easy to make dessert recipe. Island Charlotte gets its taste from sponge cake dressed with jam and cream. Island Charlotte is inspired by many restaurants around the world.
Ingredients
| 1 cocoa spongecake | ||
| Strawberry jam | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Unflavored gelatin | 1 | |
| 2 cups strawberry yogurt, at room temperature | ||
| Dried figs | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Chantilly cream | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 24 chocolate covered wafers | ||
| Figs | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
Directions
Slice spongecake into 2 equal layers.
Place first layer into a mold.
Brush with jam.
Set aside.
In a bowl, dissolve gelatin in a little water.
Fold into yogurt, stirring vigorously.
Add figs.
Pour over spongecake in mold.
Cover with second spongecake layer.
Refrigerate 1 hour.
Remove from refrigerator.
Unmold.
With a spatula, coat charlotte with Chantilly cream.
Press wafers around charlotte.
Using a pastry bag, pipe Chantilly cream onto charlotte.
Decorate with fresh figs
