Beef Cooked with Potatoes Recipe
This Iscas is a wholesome liver and vegetables dish which you can have as an accompaniment to your pasta dishes. But sometimes, when not very hungry, I have this Iscas for an entire meal. This is so filling ! Make this Iscas once and see if you like it !
Ingredients
8 ounces beef liver, sliced 1/3 inch thick
3/4 cup beef bouillon
2 tablespoons lemon juice, or wine vinegar
1 teaspoon dehydrated onion flakes
1 teaspoon salt
2 crushed peppercorns
1 clove crushed garlic
1 clove
1/2 bay leaf
1 medium (3 ounce) potato, peeled and halved
Directions
With scissors or knife, cut liver into strips 1-inch wide and put into a mixing bowl.
Combine beef bouillon, lemon juice or vinegar, onion flakes, salt, peppercorns, garlic, clove and bay leaf and pour over liver.
Let marinate for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook the potato in boiling salted water in a small saucepan.
Drain and dry liver strips, reserving marinade.
Cook liver in non-stick skillet for 2 minutes on each side.
Transfer to earthenware serving dish.
Drain cooked potato and cut into large dice.
Add to liver.
Pour reserved marinade into the skillet, reduce quickly over high heat for 2 minutes, then pour over liver and potatoes.
