Irish Apple Mash Recipe

1 lbs Cooking apples
2 lbs Potatoes
1 tbsp Sugar
2 oz Butter or margarine
Directions
Stage1- Peel potatoes.
Stage2- Cook in salted boiling water.
Stage3- Peel, core, and slice apples.
Stage4- Place in saucepan with 1 tablespoon of water and the sugar.
Stage5- Cook until soft.
Stage6- When potatoes are cooked, drain and wash thoroughly.
Stage7- Beat in the apples and butter.
Stage8- This mash goes well with salmon or bacon.
