Indonesian Semur Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 lb. round steak, 1/2 inch thick, cut in 1/2 inch squares | ||
| Salad oil | 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1 Large, sliced | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Tablespoon | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Slowly brown meat in 1-1/2 T.oil.
Remove from skillet.
Add rest of oil, onion, garlic, sugar and pepper.
Cook until onion is yellow.
Return meat to skillet and add water and soy sauce.
Simmer 1 hour, covered.
Serve over fluffy rice or noodles.
Serves 4.
