1 cup cold milk
1 cup yellow cornmeal
4 cups hot milk
1/4 cup butter
5 eggs, beaten
1 cup fine white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions
Mix cold milk and cornmeal together, and stir into the hot milk.
Add the butter, and cook and stir until mixture bubbles.
Cool slightly; then stir in eggs mixed with sugar, salt, spices and vanilla.
Pour into a deep greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish, and bake at 375°F. 35-45 minutes or until set and browned.
Serve hot or warm with Brandy Hard Sauce
