Indian Pudding Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 qt. bottled milk or 2 c. evaporated milk and 2 c. water | ||
| Corn meal | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Molasses | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Granulated Sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1 tablesp. butter or margarine | ||
| Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Scald milk in a double boiler.
Add corn meal slowly while stirring, and cook 20 mim Add remaining ingredients, turn into a greased 1 1/2 qt casserole, and bake uncovered in a slow oven of 275°F for 3 hrs., stirring once during the baking.
Serve warm or cold with vanilla ice cream.
