Indian Bread Recipe
I am not a glutton but an explorer of food and this recipe of Indian Bread is by far the best I have eaten ever. Less than 30 minutes would be the overall preparation time for dish. Ingredients
Flour (preferably, whole wheat) - 1 cup, sifted
Salt - 1/8 teaspoon
Water - 1/2 cup
Directions
MAKING
1) In a bowl, sift the flour and salt together.
2) Gradually work in enough water to make a soft dough.
3) Divide the dough into 10 pieces and flatten them into circles on a lightly floured surface.
4) Cover the dough circles with a towel and allow to stand for 20 minutes.
5) Roll out the circles thinly on a lightly floured surface.
6) Heat an ungreased skillet or griddle and bake the circles over low heat, turning frequently, until firm and cooked.
7) Press down gently with a spatula or paper towel to keep the breads flat.
SERVING
8) Serve immediately with with some curry, vegetables or lentils.
