Imli ki Chutney Recipe
Ingredients
| Tamarind - 200 gms, soaked in a cup of water | ||
| Asafoetida | 1 Pinch | |
| Fenugreek seeds | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Mustard seeds | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Jaggery - a small lump, diced | ||
| Turmeric powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic | 6 Clove (5gm) | |
| Green chillies | 4 | |
| Salt | 1 To taste | |
Directions
MAKING
1 In a pan, heat oil.
2 Add in fenugreek, mustard seeds, garlic and asafetida.
3 Add in the green chillies and fry briefly.
4 In a bowl, strain the tamarind juice.
5 Pour in the pan along with turmeric, jaggery and salt.
6 Allow to simmer for about 10 minutes.
7 Consider done when the fat starts appearing on the surface.
SERVING
8 Serve as desired.
