Idi Chakkai Poduthuval Recipe
Idi Chakkai Poduthuval has a great taste. Idi Chakkai Poduthuval gets its taste from coconut mixed with jackfruit and curry leaves. Idi Chakkai Poduthuval is inspired by many restaurants across the world.
Ingredients
Coconut 1
Onion 1
Raw jackfruit 1
Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon
Green chillies 5-6
Curry leaves 2 sprigs
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Salt as per taste
Directions
Remove the white pith on top of the jackfruit.
Chop it into quarters.
Take out the seeds.
Cut it into thin slices.
Make sure you grease your hands with oil before doing this.
Take the pieces in a vessel.
Add enough water and a little salt.
Cook for a while Grind onion, green chillies, cumin seeds, turmeric powder and coconut together.
Combine this ground mixture with the cooked jackfruit.
Cook again for a couple of minutes.
Heat oil in a pan and crackle mustard seeds along with curry leaves.
Then put in the sliced onions.
Stir fry till brown.
Combine this with the jackfruit mixture.
Cook for few minutes.
