Iced Apple Mint Tea Recipe
Iced apple mint tea is a fruity herbed tea prepared with apple cider. Flavored with fresh mint and lemon juice, the ice apple tea is served warm and is refreshing and delightful on a cold day.
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups water
2 tea bags
1/2 cup chopped fresh mint or 1 tablespoon mint flakes
1 strip lemon peel, about 2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide
2 cups unsweetened apple juice or cider
1 tablespoon lemon juice
4 sprigs mint
Directions
In a medium size saucepan, bring the water to a boil over moderately high heat about 3 minutes.
Pour the boiling water into a wanned teapot and add the tea bags, mint, and lemon peel; cover and steep until cool about 20 minutes.
Remove and discard the tea bags.
Strain the tea into a 2 quart pitcher and stir in the apple juice and lemon juice.
Fill 4 12 ounce glasses with ice cubes and divide the apple mint tea among them.
Stir briskly and garnish each drink with a mint sprig, if you like.
