Ingredients

 
1 egg white
 
1/4 teaspoon salt
 
1/4 cup sugar
 
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
 
1 pint coffee ice cream
 
1 pint vanilla ice cream
 
Raisin Caramel Sauce

Directions

Beat egg white with salt until frothy; add sugar gradually, beating constantly until stiff peaks form.
Fold in the chopped walnuts.
Turn into generously buttered 9-inch pie pan.
With spoon, spread evenly over bottom and sides of pan, building up sides.
Prick bottom and sides with a fork.
Bake at 400CF 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Cool and chill.
Soften ice creams slightly.
Spoon coffee ice cream into the chilled pie shell and top evenly with vanilla ice cream.
Set in freezer until ready to serve.
Let pie stand at room temperature 10 minutes.
Garnish with several spoonfuls of Raisin Caramel Sauce and accompany with the remaining sauce.
