Ice-Cooked Chocolate Bavarian Recipe
Ingredients
1 1/2 envelopes {1 1/2 tablespoons) unfavored gelatin
2 teaspoons instant coffee
1/4 cup cold water
1/2 cup hot water
1 6-ounce package (1 cup) semisweet chocolate pieces
1 tablespoon sugar
Dash salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 egg yolks
1 1/4 cups drained finely crushed ice
1 cup whipping cream
Directions
In blender, put gelatin, instant coffee, cold water, and hot water.
Cover and blend at high speed about 40 seconds.
Add chocolate, sugar, salt, and vanilla; cover and blend about 10 seconds more or till smooth.
Keeping motor running, remove cover; add egg yolks, crushed ice, and cream; blend 20 more seconds or till dessert begins to thicken.
Pour into sherbets; chill about 10 minutes, serve.
