Directions
Combine first 5 ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Add remaining ingredients; stir well.
Let batter stand 5 minutes.
Carefully drop batter by level table-spoonfuls into deep hot oil (370°); cook only a few at a time, turning once.
Fry 3 to 5 minutes or until hush puppies are golden brown.
Drain well on paper towels.
