Cornmeal Hush Puppies Recipe
Hush Puppies are simple awesome in taste. Hush Puppies get its softness and taste from eggs mixed in flour and milk. Kids simple adore Hush Puppies.
Ingredients
| Cornmeal | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Self rising flour | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 3⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Onion | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped | |
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| Milk | 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs) | |
| Vegetable oil | 1 |
Directions
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl.
Add egg and milk, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Let batter stand 5 minutes.
Carefully drop batter by rounded ta blespoonfuls into deep hot oil (375°).
Fry, turning once, 3 to 5 minutes or until hush puppies are golden brown.
Drain well on paper towels.
