Ingredients

 Carrot2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Celery2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Lean beef1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), cubed
 Water1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Tomato juice1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Turnips1 Cup (16 tbs), quartered
 Onion1 Medium, quartered
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt or 1/4 teaspoon instant minced garlic
 Pepper 1/4 Teaspoon
 Bay Leaf1
 1 bouillon cube or 1 teaspoon instant bouillon

Directions

In large saucepan, combine all ingredients.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; simmer, covered, for 45 to 60 minutes until vegetables are tender and flavors well blended.
Remove bay leaf.
Serve hot.
