Hunters Stew Recipe

Hunters Stew is a wonderful meat preparation that helps you finish off your left over meat in the most delicious manner! I served this dish to my guests last week and it was an immediate hit! Try this Hunters Stew recipe at your home.

Ingredients

 
1 c onion, chopped
 
2 t corn germ oil
 
1 small head cabbage, shredded
 
1 qt sauerkraut
 
6 large mushrooms, sliced
 
4 c leftover meat, diced
 
1 c bouillon
 
2 sour apples, peeled and diced
 
4 prunes, pitted and soaked
 
2 tomatoes, pureed
 
Bay leaf
 
1 t sea salt
 
3/4 c red wine
 
Garlic clove, crushed

Directions

Cook onion in oil until golden brown.
Use 3-quart casserole, and add all ingredients except wine and garlic.
Place covered in 300° oven and cook for 2 hours.
Add wine and garlic and continue cooking for 20 minutes.
