Hungarian Pepper Dish Recipe
Ingredients
| Lard | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Peeled sliced onion | 1 Medium, separated into rings | |
| Green peppers | 1 Pound, cleaned, sliced | |
| Tomatoes | 3⁄4 Pound, peeled, quartered | |
| Sugar | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Hungarian sweet paprika | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Cayenne pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste |
Directions
Melt lard in heavy skillet.
Add onion; cook over moderate heat until wilted.
Add green peppers; cook until crisp-tender.
Add remaining ingredients; cook, covered, over low heat 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Taste for seasoning.
