Hungarian Pork And Peppers Recipe
Ingredients
| Vegetable oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 medium-size yellow onion, peeled and thinly sliced | ||
| 3 medium-size sweet green peppers, cored, seeded, and cut into 1/4-inch strips | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), peeled | |
| Paprika | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 3/4 pound pork sirloin cutlets, cut into 1/4-inch strips | ||
Directions
1. Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a 12-inch skillet over moderately high heat. Add the onion, green peppers, and garlic, and cook covered, for 3 minutes.
2. Reduce the heat to moderate, and add the paprika, salt, and sugar, and cook partially covered, for 10 minutes. Transfer the mixture to a warm bowl and set aside.
3. Heat the remaining oil in the skillet over high heat for about 1 minute. Add the pork strips and cook uncovered, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. 4. Return the onion and pepper mixture to the skillet, and toss until heated through—about 2 minutes. Serve with buttered noodles.
