Hungarian Goulash Recipe
Ingredients
| 3 pounds boneless beef chuck or 3 1/2 pounds bone-in chuck | ||
| Onions | 3 Pound, cut into pieces | |
| Salt | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Black pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Paprika | ||
| Parsley | ||
| Cooked noodles | ||
| Dairy sour cream | ||
Directions
Cut meat into 1-inch cubes, discarding excess fat and bone.
Put meat, onions, salt, pepper, and 2 tablespoons paprika in large heavy kettle. (No water is needed.)
Cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes, stirring often.
Simmer, covered, for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Uncover and simmer until liquid cooks down to gravy consistency.
Garnish with parsley and serve with noodles and a generous dollop of dairy sour cream topped with a sprinkling of paprika.
Makes 6 servings.
