Hungarian Crepe Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 recipe BASIC CREPES baked in advance | ||
| 2 cups very thick applesauce, made with honey or unsweetened apple juice | ||
| Lemon juice | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Apricot glaze | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Rum | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Slivered almonds | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Preheat oven to 350° F. and lightly grease a shallow, ovenproof serving dish.
Combine applesauce and lemon juice.
Place a crepe on prepared dish, and spread with about 2 tablespoons applesauce mixture.
Continue to layer applesauce and crepes, ending with a crepe.
Combine apricot glaze and rum.
Brush top and sides of crepe cake with glaze.
Sprinkle almonds on top.
Place in preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
Combine applesauce and lemon juice.
