Huckleberry Nut Bread Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Huckleberries | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Walnuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp. maple syrup | ||
| Eggs | 2 , beaten | |
| Margarine | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
Directions
Sift together first three ingredients.
In separate bowl, beat together syrup, eggs and margarine.
Fold in berries and nuts.
Mix the dry ingredients.
Butter two bread loaf pans and line with waxed paper.
Butter paper.
Spoon huckleberry mixture into pans.
Bake 325°F.60 to 70 minutes.
Cool.
