Pesto Part 1 - Ingredient Preparation Recipe Video
A staple to most these days. Makes 3/4 of a cup.
Ingredients
2 cups packed fresh basil leaves
1/4 cup toasted pinenuts
3 cloves roasted garlic
1 clove raw garlic
10T extra virgin olive oil
salt and pepper
1/2 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
Directions
In a food processor puree garlic and pinenuts while adding 5T of olive oil. Set aside then puree basil leaves with the rest of the oil. Add basil puree to garlic and nut mixture. Next add the parmesan cheese and fold together. Add salt and pepper to taste.
