Directions

MAKING
1. In a heavy skillet melt butter and add in the sugar.
2. Add in the pineapple wedges to the syrup and brown on each side for two minutes and remove. Set aside in a plate.
3. To make the sauce, add in the heavy cream to the same pan and blend with the syrup.

SERVING
4. Pour the sweet sauce over the pineapple and serve.

I have tried the same with mangoes, you know those which are not ripe and give out that slightly bitter taste! :) Oh that was just as awesome as this one. I added sugar and a lil bit of chili and pepper too .. do try it out as this can be an interesting variation! Happy cooking.

Thanks for this Sweet Pineapple Saute ! Cooking the vegetables and using the correct enhancers do boost up the taste of the desserts. Moreover, i think some people have difficulty in digesting raw fruits. They complain of acidity etc. Cooking removes that sharpness. With a smaller serving of cream and butter this can be given to young children and the elderly.

I have never tried Fruit Sautes of any kind, but yes, i have tried baking and grilling them, coz i love the smoky effect! This pineapple saute seems to be good and easy, i will try this out, May be I will serve it with a sprinkle of ground pepper - i love the blend of sweet and spicy and so gottta give that a try! Grilled fruit is also wonderful. Sprinkle wih a touch of sugar to caramalize and place on grill. Grilled nectarines and figs are yummy as well.
