250grams fish moli
Coconut oil
Grated tomatoes
Black pepper powder (half for marinating and half for gravy)

Lemon juice of 1/2 lemon
Garlic paste
2tbsp cornflour mixed in 1tbsp of water
Thick coconut milk
Thin coconut milk

Directions
For preparing thick coconut milk, take one full glass of water and one full grated coconut. Grind it and squeeze it to take the milk.
For preparing thin coconut milk, mix one full glass of water with 1/2 grated coconut. Grind it and squeeze it to take the milk.
For marination: pour lemon juice over the fish. Add pepper powder and turmeric powder along with some salt. Spread everything well on the fish. Keep the fish marinated in the spices for half an hour.
Frying the fish: Take coconut oil in a pan and heat it. Put all the fish pieces in the heated oil and fry them. Do not deep fry them. Take out all the fried fishes on a plate.
Preparing Gravy:
Take a pan and add oil. Add fennel seeds. Add ginger and garlic paste. And onions and saute them for a minute. Add tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add green chillies and 1 tsp of turmeric powder. Add 1/2 tsp pepper powder, 1tsp red chilli powder and mix them well. Add thin coconut milk and boil for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes, you can add the fried fishes. Add salt and cook for few minutes. Reduce the flame and add thick coconut milk. To make the gravy thick, add cornflour mixed with water to the gravy.
Sprinkle pepper powder, cinnamon and curry leaves for garnishing. You can also add 1 tbsp of vinegar to the curry for more flavored taste.
Your fish moli is ready.
