Chicken Calzones Part 2 - Preparation Recipe Video
Chicken calzones is a nice way to present the chicken. This recipe is very quick to prepare and is ready in about an hour. Seasoned chicken is stuffed in dough and baked to make nice meal. Chicken calzone recipe belongs to the pizza family. This Italian dish is translated as stuffing or stocking.
Ingredients
2 tbsp olive oil
16 oz chicken breasts, chopped
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp basil
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 thyme
14 oz diced tomato
2 can mushroom
1 green pepper, sliced
1 onion, sliced
calzone dough
1/2 c cheddar cheese
Directions
1. Heat oil in a pan and add chicken breasts.
2. Saute chicken until brown and done.
3. Add salt and pepper, thyme, basil and oregano.
4. Stir it nicely.
5. Transfer chicken in a bowl.
6. Add tomatoes and mushrooms.
7. Add green pepper and onions and mix everything together.
8. Knead dough once again before stuffing.
9. Dust surface with flour.
10. Split the dough into two.
11. Roll out the dough ball into a flat bread.
12. Put half of the chicken mixture on the bread.
13. Sprinkle some cheddar cheese over it.
14. Fold the bread and seal its edges nicely.
15. Take a fork and press the edges.
16. Place the calzones on baking sheet.
