Banana Chocolate Chip Snack Cake Recipe Video

Fast-forward to 2009 and here is the version of "snackin' cake" I make now: so quick and easy to mix up, uses fresh bananas and yummy chocolate chips. It makes a nice big pan of cake so you can serve what you need for today and then cut up and freeze the rest for anytime! It is excellent for kids' lunch boxes and as an after-school snack and is fancier with a dusting of powdered sugar if you want to serve it for dessert. I don't even know if they make or sell "snackin' cake" any more but I am pretty sure I'll stick with my home baking instead! Have a super Saturday!

There are always a few brown speckled  bananas waiting in the fruit bowl to be mashed and baked into a cake like this one. This is a classic banana cake recipe, moist and full of chocolate chips! It’s one that can be top on the list of the family's favorite snacking cakes. This cake is fast and easy to make and is great for school lunch box treat or an evening snack on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

I plan to try this and thanks for the video. I've made banana choc. chip cake before using a box mix and mashed bananas with a cream cheese frosting and it's very good. However, most, not all, but most of the time the choc. chips fall to the bottom when baked. Not sure why sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. Any thoughts on that or how to keep them in the middle of the cake and not at the bottom
