Crispy Potato Pancakes Recipe Video
There's nothing like freshly fried potato pancakes, and thanks to Hanukkah, you can't visit a food blog right now without seeing a gorgeous-looking potato latke recipe. I'm quite proud of my version, so I decided to repost this video from last year. We garnished this with smoked salmon, but truth be told, my favorite way to enjoy them is topped with applesauce and sour cream. I hope you enjoy seeing this potato pancake recipe again, and if you’re watching this for the first time, I really hope you give it a try. A happy Hanukkah to all those celebrating, and as always, enjoy!

Potato Pancakes are a favorite but not made often enough. Homemade potato pancakes rarely turn out perfect like the ones we get at diners. They are usually soggy or too brown when fried, sometimes almost burnt. Chef John teaches us how to make the perfect potato pancakes; cooked all the way through with the crispy golden-brown exterior. These are delicious on their own, topped with a dollop of sour cream or make a wonderful side to stews, steaks, smoked salmon or just about anything.Comments

I loved the way you have presented it, in fact, I have tried making potato pancakes many times. It's the mosr preferable thing for Sunday brunch at my home. Well, I often make it like a fritata - first I sllightly roast the sliced potatoes in butter and then pour beaten egg over it, top it with some cheese and dry herbs... mmh heavantly it is! :)
