Ingredients

1 pack yeast

1 1/2 cup water

3 cups flour

1 1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp granulated sugar

Directions

First activate the yeast and dissolve in 1/2 cup of warm water.
Add 1 tsp of sugar and stir until the yeast and sugar are dissolved.
Let it sit for 10-15 minutes until the water becomes frothy.
Take flour in a bowl and add the yeast mixture.
Add 1 cup of water and stir with a wooden spoon until the mixture is combined.
Sprinkle some flour on a table and knead the dough until it becomes elastic.
Take little olive oil in a bowl and place the dough. Turn it over so that all the sides are coated with oil.
Cover with a towel and let it sit in a warm place until the dough doubles in size.
Flour a table and shape the dough in the form of a row. Cut the dough with knife into 8 equal halves.
Roll them with flour to the size of about 5-6 inch wide and 1/4 inch thick.
Preheat the oven to 500 degrees and place the rack at the bottom of the oven.
Put your baking dish in the oven for a couple of minutes so that it is warm when you place the pita rolled out dough.
Bake it for 4 minutes, then turn over and bake for another 2 minutes on the other side.
Remove them when both the sides are done.
Follow the same for the rest of the pieces.
Enjoy them immediately or store in a bread bod inside freezer for up to a month.
