Cream and Strawberry Meringues Recipe Video
Ingredients
| Free range egg whites | 5 Large | |
| Caster sugar | 255 Gram | |
| Whipping cream | 600 Milliliter | |
| Strawberries | 450 Gram (1 Punnet Of Strawberries = 450 Grams) |
Directions
Preheat the oven to 120c/gas mark 1/2
Line a baking sheet with baking parchment.
In a bowl, whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form when the whisk is removed, then whisk in the sugar, 3 tablespoons at a time, until stiff peaks form when the whisk is removed.
Pipe the meringues onto the baking parchment in a circle.
Place into the oven and cook for 45-50 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
For the topping, in a mixing bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form.Spoon the cream onto the meringue base.
Cut the Strawberries into ½’s.
Place the fruit on top of the cream.
Dust with icing sugar and serve.
