French bread is crispy, crunchy and chewy like all French breads. French breads are usually thin and long loafs which are made with sticky dough. The dough is allowed to raise and then baked.French bread can be served with butter, mayonnaise, sauces and in sandwiches.

Ingredients

 
3 c flour, separated into half
 
2 tbsp sugar
 
1 tbsp yeast
 
1 tsp salt
 
1 c milk
 
1 tbsp distilled white vinegar
 
1/4 c water
 
1/4 c margarine

Directions

1. Mix milk, water, margarine in a saucepan.
2. Heat it at 110 F.
3. Take 1 1/2 cup flour, salt, sugar and yeast. Mix them.
4. Add vinegar to milk mixture.
5. Add this milk mixture to flour mixture and mix it well.
6. Add the remaining 1 1/2 cup of flour and mix it nicely.
7. The dough has a sticky consistency.
8. Dust some flour in a dish and coat the dough in it.
9. Knead the dough with nearly half cup of flour.
10. Let it rest for sometime.
