Ingredients
1 cup semolina
1 cup water
1 cup medium barley
3 quarts meat broth
3 cups finely chopped onion
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons finely chopped mint Salt and pepper to taste
4 8-ounce containers plain yogurt
Directions
Soak semolina in water for 30 minutes.
Soak, wash and drain barley; cook in meat broth 1 hour.
Add semolina; cook until thickened.
Saute onion in butter until golden.
Add onion, mint, salt and pepper to soup; cook 3 minutes.
Stir yogurt well and gradually add to soup.
Heat thoroughly.
