Hot-water Pastry Recipe

Pour 1/3 cup boiling water over 2/3 cup shortening; beat till creamy.
Cool.
Sift 2 cups sifted enriched flour with 3/4 teaspoon salt; add to shortening mixture.
Mix to a soft dough with fork.
Wrap in waxed paper chill before rolling.
Makes pastry for one 8 inch double crust pie.
