Hot Toddy Bread Recipe

This Hot Toddy Bread makes a wholesome lunch fare. Try these ingredient loaded bread loaves this weekend and come back to me with your comments !

Ingredients

 
1 cup whole oats
 
7 cups whole wheat
 
5 cups hot water
 
1/4 cup honey
 
1/4 cup molasses
 
1 vitamin C tablet, crushed
 
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
 
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
 
1/2 cup chopped cashews
 
1/2 cup millet
 
3 tablespoons yeast
 
1/3 cup dehydrated potato flakes
 
1/2 cup safflower oil
 
1 1/2 tablespoons salt

Directions

Mill the oats and whole wheat in the Magic Mill III Plusâ„¢.
In the Bosch mixing bowl, combine hot water, honey, molasses, vitamin C tablet, seeds, nuts, and millet.
Add yeast, and allow to activate.
Add the potato flakes, oil, and salt.
Add oat flour and enough whole wheat flour to prevent dough from sticking to the sides of the bowl.
Knead 10 minutes.
Grease five 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 2 inch loaf pans.
Shape dough into loaves and place in pans.
Let rise until double.
Bake in a 350° F.oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
Remove from pans, and cool on cooling racks.
NOTE: For additional protein, half the oats may be replaced with soybeans.
Coarsely grind with the oats.
