Hot Spinach Salad Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 pound spinach
 
1/2 pound mushrooms, vertically sliced
 
3 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
 
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
 
1/2 cup salad oil
 
3 tablespoons bacon fat
 
1/4 cup catsup
 
1/4 cup cider vinegar
 
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
 
2 tablespoons sugar
 
1/2 medium onion, grated

Directions

Wash spinach thoroughly and pull off stems.
Dry leaves well on paper towels and tear into bite size pieces.
Arrange in a bowl with mushrooms, eggs and bacon.
Combine remaining ingredients in a skillet and heat to a simmer.
Pour hot dressing over salad.
Gently toss and serve at once.
