 Sugar1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
 Vinegar1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)

 Water chestnuts1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sliced
 Pimento4 Ounce, sliced and drained (1 Jar)
 Bacon slices4 , cooked and crumbled
 Lettuce leaves4

Directions

Place beans in a shallow dish.
Combine sugar, vinegar, and oil in a small mixing bowl, and pour over green beans.
Cover and chill 1 hour.
Drain beans.
Add onion, water chestnuts, and sliced pimiento, toss gently.
Spoon into a lightly greased 2-quart casserole, and sprinkle bacon over top.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
Serve hot over lettuce leaves.
