Directions

Soften yeast in the warm water.
Combine the scalded milk, sugar, salt, cinnamon and currants.
Cool to lukewarm.
Add yeast mixture and eggs.
Add 2 cups of the sifted flour and mix.
Add the melted butter and beat well.
Add remaining flour gradually.
Mix but do not knead.
Place in a greased bowl and grease top of dough.
Cover and chill until firm enough to handle.
Divide dough into 18 to 20 portions and shape them into buns.
Set aside until double in bulk.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 400°.
Form a cross on each bun with the following powdered sugar frosting.
