Hot Cheese Dip Recipe
Hot Cheese Dip made using this recipe is an experience by itself. Best enjoyed as an Appetizer this recipe was taught to me by a dear friend who also happens to be a great chef. In case you try out this Hot Cheese Dip, make it a point to get back with your feedback and comments .
Ingredients
1/2 lb unprocessed Gruyere or Cheddar cheese
2 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
4 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons concentrated tomato paste
salt and pepper
Directions
Cut the cheese into small pieces and then chop finely .
Mix the milk, flour and curry powder in small quantities until well blended .
Melt the butter in a saucepan, pour in the milk mixture and cook over moderate heat, stirring well until the mixture boils.
Simmer for 3 minutes, then stir in the cheese over very low heat until j ust melted.
Remove from the heat and stir in the tomato paste and salt and pepper to taste.
Keep warm on a hot plate and use for dipping potato chips or bread cubes.
