Hot Black Bean Sauce Recipe
The taste of this Hot Black Bean Sauce has played on my mind so much that I seldom go for any another recipe of Hot Black Bean Sauce. The Chinese people couldn't have come up with a better dish than this Hot Black Bean Sauce, specially when it comes to culinary creativity. I prepare this yum Hot Black Bean Sauce as a Side Dish every month or even more often. One trial wont be enough for this Hot Black Bean Sauce recipe, I am sure you will be making it again!.
Ingredients
4 tbsps. black beans, boiled in salted water
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 level tsps sugar
1 cup water or light stock
(2 tsps. cornflour,1/2 cup cold water) mix together
3 tbsps. vegetable oil
Directions
Rinse well the salted beans in a strainer under running cold water for a few seconds.
Drain all the liquid.
Place the beans on a wooden board and mash with a fork.
Add garlic and mix well.
Heat oil and fry the bean mixture for a few minutes.
Add sugar, water or light stock and bring to a boil.
Stir in the cornflour mixture.
Stir well for a few minutes.
Remove from heat and use immediately.
Note: Also known as Chilli Bean Sauce, it is a mixture of fermented soya beans and ground hot chillies.
