Hot Apple Chutney Recipe
Ingredients
| Seedless raisins | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Currants | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 15 hot peppers | ||
| 16 to 18 c. green apples | ||
| Chopped ginger | 1 Cup (16 tbs), preserved | |
| Garlic | 5 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Salt | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Vinegar | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Brown sugar | 7 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Grind raisins, currants and peppers; pare and chop apples.
Combine raisins, currants and peppers with ginger, onion, garlic, salt, vinegar, sugar and 1 cup water in large kettle.
Bring to a boil; boil for 45 minutes.
Add apples; reduce heat.
Simmer for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until fruit is transparent.
Seal in sterilized jars.
