Ingredients
1 c. seedless raisins
1 c. currants
15 hot peppers
16 to 18 c. green apples
1 c. chopped preserved ginger
5 cloves of garlic, minced
3 tbsp. salt
2 c. vinegar
7 c. brown sugar
Directions
Grind raisins, currants and peppers; pare and chop apples.
Combine raisins, currants and peppers with ginger, onion, garlic, salt, vinegar, sugar and 1 cup water in large kettle.
Bring to a boil; boil for 45 minutes.
Add apples; reduce heat.
Simmer for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until fruit is transparent.
Seal in sterilized jars.
