Hot Turkey Sandwiches Recipe
Ingredients
| Cooked turkey | 2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 1 cup shredded sharp American cheese | ||
| Apple | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Mayonnaise | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Toasted slivered almonds | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Curry powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| 8 individual French rolls | ||
Directions
In mixing bowl combine all ingredients except rolls.
Cut a thin slice from top of each roll.
Hollow out bottoms, leaving 1/2-inch edges (store bread crumbs for another use).
Fill each roll with about 1/2 cup turkey mixture; replace tops.
Wrap each in a 12x12-inch piece of foil, twisting ends securely.
Grill over medium coals till heated through, 15 to 20 minutes, turning several times.
