Hot Tuna Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Onions | 2 Medium, chopped | |
| Garlic | 4 Clove (5gm) | |
| Tomato | 1 | |
| Tomato Paste | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Unsalted water-packed tuna - 6 1/2 ounces (184 g) | ||
| Water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Basil | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Oregano | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Parsley | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Red pepper flakes | 1 To taste, dried | |
| Lemon juice | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Parmesan cheese - grated, for garnish | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Chop the tomato and onion.
2) Mince the garlic and parsley.
MAKING
3) In a pan, steam-stir onions with little water until transclucent and tender.
3) Add all the remaining ingredients along with tuna water.
4) Boil the ingredients and over medium heat simmer for 20 minutes.
SERVING
5) Serve the sauce over whole wheat pasta or spaghetti with grated cheese.
